ACOUSTIC HOMEPAGE     MAIN HOMEPAGE               (click for: NYLON STRUNG and CLASSICAL)
This French company has a wide range - and it won guitar brand of the year in USA in 2011. Try a LAG and you'll know why. They make great Ukuleles too. The history of Lâg Guitars started in 1978, in the heart of Occitania, a colourful region in Southern France. After a few years of studying, Michel Lâg, talented guitar player and singer, turns into an experienced luthier. In 1981, a real lutherie workshop was born in Toulouse, in his grandfather’s former warehouse. Little by little, the young entrepreneur is really willing to design his own models. That’s how renowned artists put aside their famous American guitars for a beautiful and original Lâg.

So, welcome to GB Music's Lâg page.

OK. I hope you know now that Lâg isn't such an obscure brand
in the world of guitars.

They are simply borne of a passion for something extremely stylish
and playable at a value you'd find hard to match elsewhere.

More and more players are turning to the style and quality of the Lâg brand
because when you pick one up, it feels and plays like an instrument
with a much heftier price tag.

But that's not all. The style is thought through, the detail is exquisite,
and the backup from GB Music is complete (we carry spares
for all current models) supplying end users and the trade from here.

We have our own workshop facilities for maintenance, repairs and setups.

We order direct from Lâg in France on a regular basis, so if you see
something we do not have in stock currently, just phone me (Dave), and I'll
take your enquiry seriously, I'll get you a price and lead-time.

"I am the Lâg man
 - don't be a Walrus"
(Now that's obscure!)

The Tramontane series, and especially the T80, has seduced the United States, which has been confirmed by the numerous awards it has received. Professional features include a solid top, mahogany back & sides, a brownwood fingerboard & bridge, a sculpted headstock and elegant tuning machines. The exquisite finishes attributes of the T80 Series make them the very best of acoustics in this price range.
LÂG Tramontane T80DCE electro acoustic dreadnaught

The LAG T80DCE Tramontane is an electro acoustic guitar with a cutaway dreadnought body and solid top.

The LAG T80DCE sounds great acoustically as well as plugged in. This is thanks to the inclusion of a solid Sitka Spruce top. This has been married up with Tropical Khaya back and sides. Having a solid wooden top greatly enhances the sound of the instrument. It will also improve with age as well unlike a laminated top. The Dreadnought shaped body helps give the T80DCE an impressive acoustic voice. A cutaway in the body gives you better access to the higher frets. As this is an electro acoustic guitar it includes a preamp and pickup. The DirectLag Plus Preamp delivers clear acoustic tones with ease and includes a built in guitar tuner. It sounds natural and is easy to use. Perfect for the regular gigging musician. As an all-rounder, you would be hard pushed to beat the LAG T80DCE Tramontane.

Khaya, also known as African mahogany, is used as the solid top and the back and sides of this guitar. Khaya was chosen for its singular sound characteristics; smooth, felted bass, a very present mid-range, and delicate treble. Consequently, the three versions of the T90 (dreadnought, auditorium and parlor formats) deliver a warm, deep sound that blues lovers and roots music will enjoy, whatever their playing style: picking, rhythm or solo.
